I’ve been noticing that Sprouts Farmers Market has been quietly becoming the new Whole Foods.🛒
After 14 years at Whole Foods, I watched a lot of the charm disappear after Amazon took over. Less new items, and a lot of the vegan prepared foods and bakery selections went poof.
But Sprouts is sprouting up as the new go-to for plant-based shoppers in my opinion.🌱

[AD] Chunk is raising the steaks! 🥩🧡🌱
@chunk_foods just landed in @sprouts Farmers Market freezers nationwide with one fan favorite and an exciting new flavor!
Their Chunk Steak (2 per box, 25g protein) is something I’ve had before and love, but I’m really hyped for their new Herbs and Olive Oil Plant Based Cubes, which are a Sprouts exclusive right now. I’m thinking they would be incredible seared and tossed into a grain bowl with roasted veggies. 😍 I’m always looking for a quick protein option for weeknight meals. 🥣
Both are also on sale at Sprouts for $7.99 through 5/26 (reg $11.99) so sprint on over!

Here are some finds from @sprouts and @aldiusa stores.
Spotted new @snackbacktonature mini crackers, @go_nanas banana cream pie mix, @sweetlorens lemon cookie dough that’s back, and new @popandbottle matcha waters.
At Aldi, I spotted new pearled couscous flavored mixes, vegan friendly sprinkles, a new look for @hellmannsmayonnaise garlic aioli, Greek chickpeas, and the chocolate pralines popped up again randomly at my store.

Some new and returning things at Trader Joe’s. 🛒
The new: pickled red pinions, hummus to go cups, squeeze olive oil, guava nectar, sparkling guava juice drink, POG juice drink, flat taffy (my store said these were pulled due to packaging issues where the taffy was sticking to the paper but that was part of the whole experience in the 80s lol), and frozen verdant veggie variety mix which my store didn’t have yet.
The pretzel buns and strawberry fields gummy candies are back for the season too.

Have you heard about @healthiercomforts Animal-Free Egg White Protein Powder? 🥚 I’ve been seeing people post about it so I did some research.
Remember Perfect Day bio-identical whey? This is the same concept, but for egg whites. Real ovalbumin protein made through precision fermentation with no chickens, no eggs, or animals involved. It’s vegan, kosher, and gluten-free.
Grabbed some online to test in a chiffon cake and will report back with a full blog post. 🍰
Heads up if you have an egg allergy as you’ll need to skip this one. The protein is molecularly identical to real egg whites, so it can still potentially trigger a reaction.‼️
Not in retail stores yet as far as I can see but I added it to my Amazon and Walmart storefronts if you’re interested (links in bio). It’s around $24 but is the equivalent to 45 egg whites.

I feel like I’ve known Papa Johns garlic sauce was plant-based for years but I’ve never actually tried it.
