Beyond and Daring are both taking their plant protein in some interesting new directions. Beyond is expanding beyond traditional meat alternatives and rebranding as Beyond The Plant Protein Company, while Daring is adding its plant-based chicken into complete frozen meals. I took a closer look at what both brands are launching, where they seem to be headed and what it might mean. Lots more seasonal drops at Trader Joe’s stores! I had high hope for the Halloween Joe Joe’s coming back this year as last year they were pulled from shelves quickly due to “quality control” issues before a lot of people could buy them. The crew captain at my store even said “they fixed them!” about them this year but sadly, they’re still broken to me. They taste nothing like they used to in my opinion. They’re flatter tasting and not enough vanilla flavor. Can’t put my finger on it but it’s definitely a trick not a treat for me. You may like this new version so always worth a try but I feel they ruined the regular Joe Joe’s when they switched vendors a while back and these seem to be the same. Boo!!! This apple probiotic soda is new. Halloween gummies are back and no gelatin! Spooky bats & cats are a Halloween staple. Pumpkin gnocchi is back! These are great with some roasted squash added and some vegan butter and garlic. Maple butter is back. No, it’s not butter like how peanut butter isn’t butter. Pumpkin bagels are back on shelves. And there’s a GF version that’s also vegan friendly!

Spotted @wholefoods stores! 🥐🛒🌱 @laboulangeriesf plant-based croissant toast which I thought had been left for dead, is back in stores and this time, it might be nationwide! I’ve only ever seen it available on the west coast before and haven’t seen it in a few years and I remember some saying you couldn’t even order it anymore from their website but I could be mistaken. I would check your WFM app to see if it’s available at your store.
