Chobani Discontinues Their Oatmilk Line

Another vegan favorite is disappearing from the dairy case. Chobani has officially discontinued its ready to drink Oatmilk line, and I confirmed the news directly with the company.

If you’ve noticed Chobani Oatmilk becoming increasingly difficult to find, there’s a reason. Chobani confirmed to me that its Oatmilk products, including Original, Vanilla and Zero Sugar, have been discontinued due to a lack of demand. Remaining inventory may still be found in stores, but looks like it will not be restocked.

This isn’t Chobani’s first retreat from oat-based products. The company previously discontinued its oatmilk coffee creamers, which included Original, Vanilla and seasonal flavors like Pumpkin Spice and Peppermint Mocha, around 2022–2023. Now the drinkable oatmilk is going away too.

To be clear, Chobani isn’t a vegan company. They’re one of the biggest Greek yogurt makers in the US, and dairy is still their main business. Oatmilk was always a smaller side line, and although reports say this category is actually growing in the plant based space globally, competition and the fact it’s a small portion of their overall business may have contributed.

What About Chobani Oat Nog?

Of course, my next question was about Chobani Oat Nog, one of the brand’s popular seasonal vegan products. Chobani did not confirm whether Oat Nog will return this holiday season, so its status is currently unknown. I could not find it last holiday season on shelves near me so could be this was already discontinued although some reported seeing it last year.

For now, if Chobani Oatmilk is your go-to for coffee, cereal or baking, this is your heads-up to start looking for a replacement. And if you’re hoping to see Oat Nog return this holiday season, we’ll have to wait and see.

I’ll update this post if Chobani provides any more information.
