Vegan pizza by the slice was back at one of my Whole Foods stores (sorry I cut off the V lol). Have you seen it back at your stores?
For Prime members, you can also get a single topping vegan cheese whole pizza for $12 on Fridays (I remember when this deal was $6 years ago!).
Also noticed new digital shelf tags rolling out on shelves. Other stores have had them for a long time but first time I’ve noticed them at my stores. I find it funny that they have the outer callout sign added around the tags because “sale” is so small on the digital tags. The labor they saved changing physical tags will be somewhat eaten up adding these now weekly.

Something pretty exciting happened this week. I was invited to be a guest on WUSF Florida Matters Live and Local, NPR’s Tampa Bay station, to talk about Big Box Vegan, vegan grocery accessibility, and what it meant to win the 2026 VegNews Veggie Award for Favorite Vegan Instagrammer.
This was a first for Big Box Vegan in a lot of ways. I’ve done radio interviews before, as the frontman for my band in the 90s, but never for this platform. I was honored to be asked, had a great time with host @matthew_peddie_wusf and honestly hope it’s the beginning of more conversations like this one.

WALMART: the new Papa John’s garlic sauce is in coolers there and seems like they had to update the back labels as they’re stuck on haphazardly. I think the serving size was incorrect initially and is now corrected to 2 tablespoons. Also spotted the limited edition Bush’s beans and accidentally vegan Great Value chewy chippers.
PUBLIX: Looks like Impossible has smaller boxed retail packs of sausage patties without their signature soy leghemoglobin ingredient in these. They had grilled burgers without it out a while back as well. Why? Well, the UK forced them to develop a no-heme sausage patty years ago due to regulatory hurdles and it’s likely less expensive to produce. Also spotted limited edition Publix sour watermelon gummies there.
SPROUTS: a few finds here including a new flavor of Fronen bars, new Joyride raspberry strips and a Miss Jones lemon poundcake mix.
SAM’S CLUB: their mixed berry crumble pie seems vegan friendly but the vitamin A could be animal derived but unlikely as most commercial food manufacturers use synthetic Vitamin A Palmitate rather than animal-derived but avoid if concerned. Also spotted a Purely Elizabeth granola I haven’t seen before there.

Some Trader Joe’s finds!
The Carolina bbq chips are back and there’s new vegan friendly mochi gummies (not my pic but a fan find as my store didn’t have them just yet) plus the new kimchi potstickers I teased earlier this week, the new buffalo sauce and cherry cotton candy and the truffle aioli is back as a limited buy.
