Who doesn’t love a cheese ball? It’s fun, it’s festive and it feeds a crowd! I’ve made many different kinds over the years and most always started with cashews. The soaking involved and the urge to make one on the spur of the moment were reasons I didn’t make them often enough so I set out to make one that could be assembled and served in under a half hour. Bam! Take that cashews!
If you have some vegan cream cheese and your favorite vegan cheese you would enjoy eating cold, then you’re set! Some spices, miso paste and nutritional yeast are all you need and then you can roll it in some toasted nuts and you’re ready to go!
This is really a base recipe so you can totally customize it for whatever you’re in the mood for that day!
- Add some roasted peppers for a pimento cheese vibe.
- Add some Italian herbs and sun dried tomatoes for a pizza vibe.
- Want a Mexican flavor? Add some taco seasoning and roasted chipotle peppers.
