I just got back from a quick trip to sunny Miami, and let me tell you, they have a great vegan scene there. Years ago, it was the best spot in the state for vegan options and everyone has been catching up, but there are still great eats here. From buttery (but actually butter-free) pastries to ice cream and bowls, I ate my way through some of the city’s best plant-based spots. Whether you’re headed to the beach or just daydreaming about tropical snacks, here’s everything I devoured, and yes, it was worth every bite.

🥐 L’Artisane Bakery: Croissants Worth Traveling For
Let’s start here because WOW. L’Artisane is a fully vegan French bakery and café, and if you miss buttery, flaky pastries, this place will change your life.

We got some their breakfast croissants and dined in then got some to go and honestly? I had to stop mid-bite and do the full “eyes wide, what is this sorcery” moment.

Their baked goods are next-level with pain au chocolat, savory quiches, macarons, and beautifully crafted pastries, all totally dairy and egg-free. This is not your average vegan pastry shop, it’s pastry chef-level magic.

⭐ Don’t Miss: The plain croissant (a classic), croque monsieur, and the nocciolata (Nutella-like chocolate and hazelnut).
🍣 PLANTA Queen: possibly closing?
Planta’s menu is fully plant-based, but nothing feels like a compromise (we opted out of sushi rolls and I instantly regretted it but was full from the dishes we got) or their delicious Bang Bang Broccoli. I sat down not knowing what to expect, and left full and happy. Some neighboring tables ordered sushi rolls and they looked incredible.

The vibe is chic, the food is beautifully plated, and the flavors? Clean, bold, and completely satisfying. Also, they make great cocktails allegedly if you’re into that.

⭐ Don’t Miss: The Dragon Roll, Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice (I’m told), and that broccoli.
We heard the parent group has filed for bankruptcy protection but it’s unclear if all restaurants are closing (West Palm Beach, FL closed suddenly) or if they can rally and keep them open. Stay tuned.

🍦 Salt & Straw: great vegan options! 🍨🌱
You know I couldn’t skip dessert. I popped into Salt & Straw to try their GoNanas Banana Bread collab (a limited flavor made with the viral vegan banana bread brand), and it did not disappoint.
Think rich banana flavor, with strawberry jam and their chewy salted caramel banana bread chunks, was the perfect mix of creamy and cozy. And yes, they always have several vegan flavors, so you’re never stuck with just sorbet as an option. I also got a scoop of their peanut butter brittle caramel fudge and it was dreamy and very peanut butter forward.
⭐ Don’t Miss: The GoNanas collab while it lasts, or their freckled mint chocolate chip.

🥞 Denny’s: The Plant-Based Pancake Surprise
I had to try the new Plant-Based Pancake Slam at Denny’s. It’s not often you see a major diner chain add a fully plant-based breakfast option, so I rolled into a retro-looking Denny’s in Miami and gave it a shot.

The pancakes? Legit! Fluffy, golden, and made with a multigrain flaxseed batter. The fruit side was super fresh too with juicy strawberries, bananas, and melon. The hash browns though? They were giving bland potato energy. But overall, it stacked up better than I expected. Read my entire review and all the details here.
⭐ Don’t Miss: The pancakes (bring your own vegan butter!) and fruit but I would skip the hash browns unless you ask for them extra crispy and you BYO hot sauce and seasoning.

Final Thoughts: Miami Is Serving Vegan Sunshine ☀️
From upscale dining to diner dives, Miami knows how to feed a vegan. Whether you’re craving French pastries, innovative sushi, creamy ice cream, or a nostalgic pancake slam, there’s something for every kind of plant-based eater.
Until next bite,
