Easter candy shopping as a vegan has gotten a bit easier over the years. Between dedicated vegan brands, mainstream options that happen to be dairy-free, and a growing number of retailers actually stocking plant-based picks, there’s genuinely a lot to choose from this year although the reality is there’s more options online. Here’s a rundown of what to look for and where to find it.

Chocolate Bunnies
The centerpiece of any Easter basket. Aldi has a dark chocolate vegan friendly bunny in stores although it may be difficult to find now. No Whey Foods is the brand doing the most in this category right now with three distinct options: the Cottontail solid white chocolate bunny, the Noah 3D hollow milk chocolate-style bunny, and the Smash-a-vEgg for a little basket drama. Lake Champlain Chocolates has a beautiful organic solid dark chocolate bunny in both a full 10.5 oz size and a smaller 1 oz version. And if you want something on the premium end, the Venchi 60% dark chocolate bunny from their Spring Collection looks delicious.
Sadly, it doesn’t look like Walmart’s Bettergoods oatmilk bunny is returning to stores this year.

Gummies and Fruit Candies
YumEarth is the go-to here and they have two Easter options out this season with organic gummy fruits and organic jelly beans, both in spring fruit flavors. See’s Candies has vegan friendly Easter Sour Bunnies available and they usually sell out, so grab those early. Fruidles has sour jelly eggs that are fun and festive, Katjes makes a vegan soft foam gummy bunny candy that’s worth trying, Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish have a combo pack out and Liberty Orchards Berry Delights are a softer fruit and nut candy that has a loyal following.

Chocolate Candies and Truffles
UNREAL’s dark chocolate Easter coconut bars are certified vegan with only 3g of sugar and come in a box of 20 and are one of the better everyday candy finds this season. Sanders makes a dairy-free dark chocolate sea salt caramel that’s a crowd pleaser every time although it’s not in festive spring packaging. Go Max Go has a vegan candy bar variety pack covering their whole lineup if you want to sample everything at once. No Whey rounds this category out with the Happy Easter Bar and their Hoppy Smooches bunny box filled with heart-shaped chocolates. For gifting, the Signature Easter Truffles 15-piece box and the Vegan Dark Chocolate Truffles gift box are both solid options, as is the Gluten Free Palace vegan chocolate cookie gift box if you want something more elaborate. All are linked in my Amazon storefront.

Vegan Marshmallows
Trader Joe’s just dropped egg-shaped vegan marshmallows this season which was a news worthy find and they’re worth tracking down. No artificial dyes, no animal products, and if they look familiar that’s probably because they appear to be made by GoodMallow although like most Trader Joe’s products, they never confirm sourcing. Grab them in store while you can since seasonal items at TJ’s don’t stick around. If you can’t find them or want to stock up beyond what’s on the shelf, GoodMallow sells direct and on Amazon with two Easter options: marshmallow eggs and pink Easter bunny marshmallows. Check out my storefront links.

Jelly Beans
YumEarth offers organic jelly bean snack packs with 15 individually wrapped packs and these are consistently one of the most purchased vegan Easter items out there. Rainbow Colored Boston Beans by It’s Delish are a fun, colorful throwback pick if you want something a little more classic.

Snacks and Basket Fillers
Annie’s Organic Bunny Grahams in Neapolitan are a bestseller for good reason and one of the easiest basket fillers you’ll find. I found a large bag at my local Costco recently. For Noshers Only makes peanut butter bites dipped in chocolate that are dairy free and great for snacking (they look like the ones Trader Joe’s sells). Free2b has their Basket O’ Yummies sunflower butter sun cups back (20 cups, allergy friendly, and a good nut-free option). SmartSweets Berry Bunnies are back in limited edition Easter packaging with 3g of sugar per bag. Easter candy bracelets are always a hit if you’re building a basket for kids, and the Easter lollipop collection with vegan chocolate lollipops is a simple but solid stuffer. Sour Patch Kids Bunnies, the Swedish Fish and Sour Patch variety pack, and Smarties Easter rolls round out the filler category and are vegan friendly and easy to find.
Where to Find Vegan Easter Candy
Most of the products in this guide are available through my Amazon storefront where I’ve got everything linked in one place. As always, links are affiliates and as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Tap below to shop.
For in-store shopping, here’s where to look:
Pharmacy chains like CVS and Walgreens are worth a walk down the Easter aisle. Both carry the dark chocolate Lindt bunnies along with a handful of other vegan-friendly picks this time of year.
Trader Joe’s has their new egg-shaped vegan marshmallows in stores right now. Seasonal and limited, so don’t wait on those.
Major grocery chains like Whole Foods, Sprouts, and Natural Grocers tend to carry the most dedicated vegan brands like No Whey, YumEarth, GoodMallow, UNREAL, and SmartSweets which are usually stocked there around Easter.
Walmart usually carries a mix of mainstream vegan-friendly candy in their seasonal sections. Worth checking, though a couple of notes: Walmart’s Bettergoods oat milk chocolate bunny doesn’t seem to be returning for 2026, as many have asked this year where it was. Also, Lindt has announced their oat milk Lindor truffles offerings are being discontinued once current stock is depleted so if you spot them, you might want to stock up.
