The lineup includes Hot Buffalo Seasoned Pretzels, which are vegan-friendly, and Honey Mustard Seasoned Pretzels, which are not vegan due to them containing honey. This marks the first time I’ve seen a mainstream savory Goldfish snack be accessible to plant-based eaters. They have made a giant cinnamon graham cookie with no dairy or honey but that’s not a salty snack like their traditional cheesy crackers. I really hoped to see a vegan version of that but this is a step in the right direction.
Goldfish’s standard crackers and plain pretzels have always contained dairy ingredients, which has made them off-limits for plant-based diets. These Hot Buffalo Seasoned Pretzels, however, are made without dairy, making them accidentally vegan. Who knows, but this release may indicate a shift in ingredient formulation or an openness to developing more allergen friendly products in the future, expanding accessibility for many more snackers.
The 2026 lineup also includes Honey Mustard Seasoned Pretzels, which contain honey and are therefore not vegan.
