It’s a BIG deal!

I’m always looking for the best deal on whatever I buy, but I take into account not only price, but taste, ingredients and overall value for money.

Here are some things I think are a pretty big deal!

This speculoos cookie butter is usually Trader Joe’s number one selling item each year and for good reason. Not only is it delicious straight from the jar, but it’s price can’t be beat!

Soy what’s the deal with soy? It’s my preferred milk and creamer but I understand if you’re allergic (sorry about that). This organic creamer’s price can’t be beat (literally, I tried making whipped cream from it-doesn’t work), and no it won’t give you man boobs (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

Vegan nuggets in a super sized almost 2 lb pack? Yes please! These Morningstar Farms nugs are at  BJs warehouse club and sometimes have a coupon for extra savings!

If you’ve read my recipes (or hopefully made some of them!), you know these chocolate chips are my go to and at only $1.99 per pack, you should always buy 2. You won’t regret it.

365 Everyday Value is Whole Foods Market’s private label brand and these new cheese shreds (and slices) are a great value at $3.99. Can you get a better price for vegan cheese on sale? Sure, but most vegan cheeses are at least $2 more per package. I’m pretty sure these are made by Violife for Whole Foods. They taste great, melt like a dream and are priced right.

I love chocolate pudding and while there are a few other vegan brands out there, they’re at least $2 more than the value priced $2.99 Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value almondmilk pudding featured here. Top with a little vegan whipped cream and treat yourself knowing you’re tasting savings in every spoonful.

ALDI’s Earth Grown private label brand has a new vegan sour cream which I’m pretty sure is made by Tofutti as it tastes identical to it. It’s only $2.39 compared to $2.99 (at least) Tofutti brand sour cream found elsewhere. I’ve seen priced as high as $3.99 in some stores.

Pickles can be expensive for just cucumbers and vinegar. Most “natural” store brands are upwards of $3.99, but not at ALDI! They’re $1.79 and are as tasty as they are value priced. I always stock up on 2 to 3 jars whenever I’m there as they keep forever. I don’t want to be caught in a pickle!

Real vanilla prices have skyrocketed in the last few years. I’ve read it’s due to orchid shortages. The dried pod containing vanilla beans is how pure vanilla is made. Can you buy cheap imitation vanilla? Sure, but it doesn’t compare. This is what Ina Garten refers to when she says “good” vanilla and Trader Joe’s has the best deal anywhere at $9.99 for a 4 oz bottle of pure bourbon vanilla extract. How bad can that be?

Who doesn’t love pillowy soft gnocchi? You know I love it, and after checking 4 stores all priced at $3.99 for the same sized package, Trader Joe’s came through again at only $1.69! This is especially good tossed with their kale basil pesto. Don’t gnocchi it til you’ve tried it.

Who doesn’t just sometimes need a quick sandwich on the go? Who doesn’t want to pay $3.99 or more for a pack of vegan deli meat? This guy, so head over to Trader Joe’s where they have Tofurky hickory smoked slices every day priced at only $2.49 a pack. Any way you slice it, it’s a big deal.

Salsa. The kind you find in a restaurant that you scarf up with a bowl of chips before you order half the menu then realize you’re full already cause it was so good. This salsa from Trader Joe’s is THAT kind of salsa. A little thinner, a little spicier and a little cheaper than the rest. At only $1.99 it’s a steal!

Do you bake? Then you’ve probably used flax meal as an egg replacer. It lasts a long time, but for organic, you can pay upwards for $6.99 or more. TJ’s has it for only $2.99 so keep some on hand so when the mood strikes for a vegan cake so you won’t cry that you have no flax egg.
